Technical: New Implementation: (technical)



We have a client that is the in the high tech manufacturing industry. The customer is implementing the following modules GL,AP,AR, FA, Cash, OM, INV, PO, QA, MRP, WIP, BOM?ENG, Service, service contracts, OBIEE and Hyperion and we are looking for a technical consultant that will be involved and part of a team consisting of many consultants. The consultant will be responsible for the following modules: All modules listed above. The consultant must be strong in communication, design, coding, migration/change management etc., work estimation, team management and R12 knowledge is a huge plus. . You will be managing all technical work for Reports. You will have to code the reports and may have a staff of report developers working for you here and in India. The consultant will be expected to complete the following types of deliverables: Requirement gathering, technical specifications, coding, testing, moving to production and client signoff, managing technical work/ delegation of technical work for the team.



The following sites are part of phase I: US



Hardware platform for applications: IBM



Known third party applications: Will be interfacing with legacy systems




Legacy System: Main frame

Title Reporting Lead

JOB SUMMARY

The Reporting Manager is responsible for the crafting a “reporting strategy” for the client. The person will also be responsible for the successful delivery of technical and functional initiatives around Client’s Business Intelligence and reporting needs across all business tracks. This individual will guide the business toward meaningful metrics by understanding the business needs and interpreting the data under consideration. This individual will be responsible for hands-on leadership in analysis, design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and resolving BI issues. This individual will be capable of providing technical and functional leadership to implementation and support resources.



SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Project Management

• Communicates project status, progress & impact to management

• Reviews deliverables to ensure that they meet project expectations

• Establishes deliverable structure & content

• Contributes to project work planning, risk management & budget development

• Manages reporting staff


• Become familiar with client’s reporting environment and core business functions

• Lead the gathering of reporting requirements across all business tracks

• Provide timely and complete support of existing reports and dashboards

• Work with project management to resolve all outstanding client requests

• Assist in as-is and to-be business process mapping initiatives

• Actively participate in project meetings and knowledge share activities

• Provide project with project documentation



Technical Development

• Solution and design technical specifications

• Create custom reports and views as directed using 3rd party tools and product suites; Develop ETL, Dashboards and Reports as necessary

• Supports Client and project by demonstrating subject matter expertise

• Mentor staff of Toshiba employees when necessary



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience

• 3+ years Team Leadership or PM experience in two or more full lifecycle BI/ERP implementations


• 3+ years Hands-on experience with BI reporting tools, relational databases, data marts, and data warehouses

• 3+ years relational database management experience

• 4+ years PL/SQL or SQL scripting experience

• Demonstrated Technical knowledge in: scripting, data modeling, data transformation and extraction, relational database design and development, preferably Oracle R12 and or 11i and web-based reporting

• Experience with setting up business scorecards

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• 4+ years hands-on technical implementation experience with Oracle Applications R12, 11i: Finance, Service Contracts, Inventory, Order Management, Procurement

• Experience creating detailed functional and technical specifications per Oracle AIM

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR BACKGROUND

• Experience with reporting tools like OBIEE, BI Publisher, XML Publisher, Hyperion, Cognos, Oracle Developer Suite

• Experience creating dashboards

• Experience with multiple technologies: Java, XML, PL/SQL

• Advanced Degree or Professional Certification
