In order to maintain the remit-to addresses in Accounts Receivable in R12, go to
Navigation: Setup=>Print=>Remit-To Addresses

Unable to Delete an incorrect remit-to address?

If there is a need to delete or inactivate some Remit-To addresses which are entered wrongly and there is no effective dates or active check box or delete record functionality on the Remit-To Address form.

The Remit-To address can not be inactivated date wise.
The Remit-To address can not be deleted because the Remit-To Address
is stored on the Invoices.

Explanation:
Remit-To Address information (REMIT_TO_ADDRESS_ID)is stored on the Invoice data stored in RA_CUSTOMER_TRX_ALL. That's why the functionality of deleting Remit-To Addresses is not permitted. Even a new Remit-To Address can not be deleted. Once the Remit-To Address is saved it cannot be deleted.

All of the assignments in the "Receipt From: " portion of the screen can be removed. This way the incorrect Remit-To address will not default onto any additional transactions.

The information on the top section of the Remit-To form can be corrected. Items such as changing country, address, city, state can be done. This will allow the corrections to pass onto any invoice reprints.

Using the functionality listed above there is really no need to delete
a Remit-To address .
