If you recently upgraded from R11i to R12, you might get one of several error messages.
ERRORS
R11.5 Payables Reports ran in R12 error with:
REP-0004: Warning: Unable to open user preference file.
OR
REP-1401: 'afterpform': Fatal PL/SQL error occurred.
OR
Routine FDPREP cannot read the file...
CAUSE
The following R11i Accounting reports/programs are still enabled after the R12 upgrade:
--R11i Posted Invoice Register (APXINPIR) is still enabled in R12. It is replaced by the Payables Posted Invoice Register (APXPOINV) in R12 and should be disabled.
--R11i Posted Payment Register (APXPTDCR) is still enabled in R12. It is replaced by the Payables Posted Payment Register (APXPOPMT) in R12 and should be disabled.
--R11i Payables Transfer to General Ledger (APGLTRANS) is still enabled in R12. It is replaced by the Transfer Journal Entries to GL (XLAGLTRN) in R12 and should be disabled.
--R11i Payables Accounting Process (APACCENG) is still enabled in R12. It is replaced by Create Accounting (XLAACCPB) in R12 and should be disabled.
--R11i Accounts Payable Trial Balance (APXTRBAL) is still enabled in R12. It is replaced by Accounts Payable Trial Balance (APTBRPT) in R12 and should be disabled.
--R11i Payables Account Analysis Report (APXAAREP) is still enabled in R12. It is replaced by Account Analysis Report (XLAAARPT) in R12 and should be disabled.
SOLUTION
Disable the obsoleted/replaced programs manually after the upgrade:
a. Navigate to: System Administrator > Concurrent > Program > Define
b. Query Executable Name = ...Obsoleted/Replaced R11i executable name
c. Uncheck the Enabled check box next to the Program name field.
d. Save the changes. |
