This will be a great new feature with 11g that allows tables to be automatically partitioned. This option is only available to previously range-partitioned tables but it will be a blessing to DBA's who currently have schedules to add new partitions. It will also be a benefit to developers who encounter the annoying ORA-14400: inserted partition key does not map to any partition error.
